A Tralee councillor has urged for a dedicated marketing fund to promote the town and Municipal District.
Cllr Mikey Sheehy told a council draft budget meeting that major investments are transforming the area, but promotion has not kept pace with this progress.
The Fianna Fáil councillor highlighted amenities like the Tralee-Fenit greenway, Banna Beach, Ardfert, and festivals in the town.
He asked what's the point of having world-class amenities within the area, if no-one knows about them.
Cllr Sheehy says more promotion is needed to match what’s on offer in Tralee and believes dedicated marketing funding must be ring-fenced.
