Kerry County Council will write to An Post seeking an update on the appointment of a permanent Post Office in Ardfert.
Fianna Fáil councillor Mikey Sheehy tabled the motion at the recent Tralee Municipal District meeting.
He is seeking and update and clarity around the timeline for the restoration of a full-time service to the Ardfert community.

Cllr Sheehy says there’s a huge community will there and they want the service retained.
Last December, 100 people attended a public meeting in the village in a bid to save the post office from closure.
Tralee MD councillors say they are still awaiting an update from An Post regarding potential appointments for this service.
