Kerry County Council says the clockwise traffic management system on Slea Head is a success and has prevented traffic congestion.

The update was provided in response to a question from Fianna Fáil councillor Breandán Fitzgerald, at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD meeting.

The one-way system was rolled out each summer season between 2022 and 2025, to address congestion and visitor management issues on the route.

The council says additional directional information signs were erected at strategic junctions along Slí Cheann Sléibhe.

It added new map board signs will be erected at Milltown roundabout on approach roads.
