Kerry County Council are developing a plan for the installation of columbarium walls in larger towns in the county.
The information was provided in response to a question from Fine Gael councillor Aoife Kennelly, at the recent Listowel MD meeting.
She asked if plans were in place to provide a columbarium wall in Listowel, given they have now been installed in Tralee and Killarney.
The council stated it’s developing a plan for larger burial grounds and towns, based on demand requirement and subject to funding.
It added that Listowel, Killorglin, Dingle, Castleisland, Caherciveen and Kenmare are part of this development process.
