Conditions still icy on some roads in Kerry this morning

It's still icy on roads in some parts of Kerry this morning, with a weather warning still in effect.

The low temperature/ice warning remains in effect until 9am, but heavy rain has also been falling in parts of the county.

There have been several road traffic collisions on the N22 Macroom bypass and people are advised to avoid travelling this route entirely as there are long delays.

Gardaí say the Killarney to Cork road near Clonkeen is slushy this morning, while icy stretches have also been reported at Farmer’s Bridge and in Flemby.

The road at Corkline between Listowel and Feale Bridge is blocked at Horgan’s Garage, as it’s on a hill and is too icy to drive up or down.

Motorists are again advised to drive with caution, as black ice may also be present but not visible.
