Compensation transferred to solicitor on behalf of American tourist accused of €46,000 worth of criminal damage in Kenmare

Compensation has been transferred to the office of the solicitor for an American tourist accused of causing €46,000 worth of criminal damage in Kenmare.

59-year-old Rodney Menolascina of SW McKinley Street, Gresham, Oregon, USA, appeared in Tralee District Court today.

He’s accused of causing €46,000 worth of criminal damage in Kenmare on Sunday, including almost €28,000 worth of damage alone in Quills Woolen Market.

At Tralee District Court, Mr Menolascina was further remanded in custody to tomorrow.

His solicitor Brendan Ahern, said the money that was out of pocket to the injured parties has been wired to his office on behalf of his client, and he hopes this will be available tomorrow.
