Prayers of the faithful are being said for Michael Gaine in Kenmare parish today, as searches are ongoing following the discovery of partial human remains on the missing man's land.
Kenmare priest Fr Sean Murphy confirmed prayers being offered across all Masses in the parish, while flowers, cards and messages are being left outisde the farm at Carrig East.
Gardaí resumed search operations after a member of the public discovered matter that could be human tissue after slurry spreading was carried out in the area on Friday evening.
The area was declared a crime scene yesterday morning and a preliminary investigation of the scene was carried out by State Pathologist Dr Sally Anne Collis and Forensic Anthropologist Laureen Buckley, assisted by the Garda Technical Bureau.

Searches are ongoing on the farm in Carrig East today, with slurry tanks and spreaders being examined.

56-year-old Michael went missing on March 20th, and the investigation was upgraded to a homicide inquiry in April.
The homicide investigation, led by a Senior Investigating Officer and the Serious Crime Unit Kerry Garda Division is ongoing.
They are being supported by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
