Kerry is to receive over €2.1 million under the Community Recognition Fund (CRF).
Minister for Community Development, Dara Calleary, made the announcement this morning.
23 Kerry projects have been selected to receive the grants in the latest round of funding for communities which have welcomed new arrivals in recent years.
Over €17 million was allocated to 212 community projects nationwide today.
The announcement was welcomed by Minister Norma Foley, Minister of State Michael Healy-Rae, Deputy Danny Healy-Rae, Deputy Michael Cahill and Senator Mike Kennelly.
The 23 Kerry projects are to receive amounts ranging from 50,000 and 500,000.
Derreen Sports Complex in Killarney has been granted half a million euro for internal finishes.
Southwest Kerry Family Resource Centre in Cahirciveen is to get almost €170,000 (€169,787) for a two-storey extension, while Kerry Mountain Rescue is to receive €150,000 for a vehicle upgrade.
Almost €116,000 (€115,904) will go to Cahirciveen Social Services to renovate and extend the community centre, €59,000 to Caherleaheen National School for a community playground, and €50,000 to Tarbert GAA for a walking track and biodiversity planting.
€50,000 has also been assigned to renovate the café at Blennerville Windmill.
The funded projects focus on community development, including sports facility upgrades, walking tracks, community centres, playgrounds, and equipment for local groups all across the county.
