The Chinese Ambassador to Ireland is on his first official visit to Kerry.
The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ireland, Zhao Xiyuan arrived in Tralee earlier today.
He was invited to Tralee by the Kerry Chinese New Year organising committee, and he’ll attend the celebrations in The Square in Tralee tomorrow.
During his visit, he also met with local representatives at County Buildings and also visited the Munster Technological University.
Fine Gael councillor and one of the organisers of the Kerry Chinese New Year celebrations Angie Baily says they are delighted that the ambassador is attending the event.
