The doctor who exposed the Kerry CAMHS scandal, Dr Maya Sharma, will open a practice in Killarney at the end of July.
As a consultant at South Kerry Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Dr Sharma revealed the over-medication and negligent treatment of patients.
Subsequent investigations vindicated her and found that hundreds of children were harmed or put at risk of harm.

Last month, with the assistance of Cllr Martin Grady, she secured a premises for her practice in Killarney.
Dr Sharma says the new clinic will be named “The Maya Sharma Child and Family Psychiatry Practice”, and will provide neurodevelopmental and complex case assessments.
