Business man who contested general elections in Kerry on ballot for Dublin and Galway by-elections

An independent candidate who has contested general elections in Kerry, is running in the upcoming by-elections in Dublin and Galway.

Cork businessman, John O’Leary, who’s from Kerry Pike, is on the ballot for both the Dublin Central and Galway West constituencies.

He ran in Kerry and six other constituencies in the 2024 general election.

Mr O’Leary was also on the ballot for the 2020 general election in 11 constituencies including Kerry.

14 candidates are vying to fill Pascal Donohoe’s former seat in Dublin Central; while 17 have registered to contest for the seat left vacant by President Catherine Connolly in Galway West.

The by-elections will take place on May 22nd.
