Bus Éireann has apologised to passengers who were stranded in North Kerry this morning because the 272 bus to Tralee was full.
The route begins in Ballybunion, however the bus was at capacity before reaching Listowel.
This resulted in would-be passengers in the town, as well as in Fingue, Lixnaw and Abbeydorney being left at their bus stops.
Bus Éireann now says it will run a second weekday morning 272 service from tomorrow.
In a statement, the bus operator also stated that it is contracted to operate the Public Service Obligation (PSO) route for the National Transport Authority (NTA), which decides timetables, fares and routes.
