The body of a man who was reported missing, has been recovered from the water in North Kerry.
Ballybunion gardaí had requested Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue to go to Ferrybridge in Ballyduff on the River Feale, just after midnight last night, to search for a missing man.
A search got underway, but was stood down shortly after 3am due to conditions.
When the search resumed this morning, the body of the man was recovered from the water just after 10 o’clock by the boat crew of the Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue.
The man was returned to the Ferrybridge, where he was pronounced dead.
The Rescue 115 helicopter, Valentia Coast Guard, Ballybunion and Glenderry Coastguards, and the Ballybunion and Listowel fire services, all also assisted in the search.
