It’s understood tickets for Bob Dylan’s two Kerry shows sold out within ten minutes this morning.
The 84-year-old singer-songwriter last week announced two gigs in the Gleneagle Arena in Killarney in the autumn.
Tickets went on sale this morning at 10 o clock and sold out in minutes, with many fans complaining of issues when attempting to make a purchase online.
A number of hopeful gig-goers reported difficulties today in trying to secure tickets for Bob Dylan’s shows in the Gleneagle Arena, Killarney on November 23rd and 24th.
People complained that they had selected their tickets and were making attempts to buy them, only for a pop-up message appearing, saying “something went wrong”.
Speaking to Radio Kerry one Kerry man reported selecting two tickets costing €85 each at 9.58 am, he claims after several site crashes, he eventually end up at the checkout at 10.25am, with one ticket in his trolley, priced at €125.
In response to a query from Radio Kerry, Ticketmaster advised it always tries to block bots during ticket sales so that real people can get tickets.
It said a small number of fans may get caught up in these efforts, and advised only using one tab, clearing cookies and not using VPN software.
In response to a question on pricing, Ticketmaster said it does not use surge pricing or dynamic algorithms to adjust ticket prices.
It says often the least expensive tickets sell out first, leaving only higher-priced options available.
