The average weekly earnings in Kerry are over 13% below the national average.
That’s according to CSO’s Median Weekly Earnings report 2024.
The report shows that people in the county earnings rose by just €51 over a three-year period.
The Central Statistics Office report shows that the median weekly earnings nationally in 2024 was €730.89.
In Kerry, the average earned per week last year was €634.62, which is over 13% less than the national average.
This figure represents a rise of €51.01 in the county when compared to 2022, when it was €583.61.
In 2023, the median earnings per week in the Kingdom was just under €605 (€604.57), this figure rose by 5% to 2024.
The report shows that females in Kerry earned on average €565.39 a week last year, a 5% increase on the year before.
The median weekly earnings of males in the county rose by just over 4% in the same period to €707 (up from €651.13).
