Over 2,000 incidents of crime were recorded at Tralee Garda Station last year.
That’s according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office.
The report shows across twelve offence types, 2,080 incidents were logged by Tralee Gardaí in 2024.
Theft and related crimes accounted for the highest proportion of incidents recorded, at 30% (624 incidents).
A quarter of all offences were public order and other social code related, at 511 incidents.
The third highest recorded crime was attempts/threats to murder, assaults, harassments and related offences, at 15% (311 incidents).
187 controlled drug offences were registered at Tralee Garda Station last year, there were 149 reports of damage to property and the environment, while dangerous or negligent acts accounted for 5% of offences recorded (104).
95 incidents of offences against government, justice procedures and organisation of crime were recorded.
Tralee Gardaí dealt with 56 burglary and related offences, 31 incidents of weapons and explosive crimes; 10 robbery, extortion and hijacking offences; and two incidents of kidnapping and related crimes.
According to the report figures for Fraud, deception and related offences have been revised due to the backlog in processing suspected fraud crime incidents reported to the Gardaí by Financial Institutions.
