The Aqua Dome in Tralee closed unexpectedly today after it was discovered that a piece of wood in the very top of the dome had come loose and could potentially fall into the pool.
The safety concern was found at around 12.30 this lunchtime, during routine maintenance checks.
Management decided to evacuate the pool and the entire facility immediately as a precautionary measure.
They intend to reopen the Aqua Dome as soon as repair works are carried out.
Management has apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their understanding and support.
