Applications open for Kerry Garda Youth Achievement Awards 2026

Applications are now open for this year’s Kerry Garda Youth Achievement Awards.

The awards recognise the contribution young people make to their communities across Kerry.

This year’s awards are being organised by the Kerry Division of An Garda Síochána in association with Lee Strand Milk.

The Kerry Garda Youth Achievement Awards are open to young people aged between 13 and 21 on 31 August this year.

There are four award categories: individual, group, special achievement and community safety.

Community involvement might include volunteering, supporting family and friends, involvement in sports, or other achievements.

Nominations close at midday (12pm) on Friday, 29 May.

The overall winner of the Lee Strand/Kerry Garda Youth Achievement Awards will be announced at a ceremony in The Rose Hotel on Friday, 18 September.

One winner from each category will represent Kerry at the National Youth Awards later this year, which one nominee from each category will represent the county at the national Garda Youth Achievement Awards.
