An Bórd Pleanála has withdrawn its appeal to a High Court decision last September which quashed the decision to refuse planning permission to Shannon LNG.
At the time, the High Court ordered the planning appeals board to reconsider the planning application to build an LNG terminal on the Tarbert Ballylongford landbank.
Today, in the High Court, An Bórd Pleanála discontinued its appeal against September's judgment.
It’s understood that in the coming months, Shannon LNG will have to resubmit updated information to An Bórd Pleanála for its application to build a liquefied natural gas terminal.
