A West Limerick businessman says his restaurant is under severe financial pressure because he says Uisce Éireann mistakenly withdrew over €8,500 from his bank account.
Philip Cotter's third-generation family business, O'Flynn's Restaurant in Abbeyfeale, has been in operation for over 100 years.
He says Uisce Éireann charged him €8,580.92 for water last month, even though his typical bill totals less than €100 annually.
He claims the utility has not returned the money to his account despite being contacted several times.
Philip Cotter says, although his suppliers have been very patient, they urgently need to be paid.
Radio Kerry has contacted Uisce Éireann.
