52 people in Kery have been issued fixed charge notices for parking in disabled parking bays in the first half of this year.
That's according to figures provided by An Garda Síochána's Fixed Charge Processing System.
181 fixed charge notices for parking in disabled parking bays has been issued to drivers in the county since January 1st 2024.
Of these, 129 were issued in 2024, while the remaining 52 have been issued since the start of this year.
The figures were provided by Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan following a query from Fianna Fáil TD Shane Moynihan.
Parking in a disabled parking bay in Kerry incurs a fine of €150 if paid within 28 days, after which it increases to €225.
Nationwide, 7,518 fines for parking in disabled parking bays were issued between 1 January 2024 and 27 June 2025.
Dublin South Central saw the highest number of fixed charged notices for illegally parking in blue bays in 2024 and 2025, with 786 and 648 fines respectively.
