The Disabled Drivers’ Association of Ireland is calling for a national text alert scheme to be introduced which would allow their members notify the authorities of motorists illegally parked in disabled parking bays. The DDAI has made a call after its study found that 88% of drivers with disabilities said it was ‘too dangerous’ to approach motorists who are illegally parked in this manner.
