47 adults were in homeless accommodation in Kerry in March.
The figures cover from March 24th to 30th and were published in the Department of Housing’s monthly homelessness report.
The report shows at the end of March, more than 15,400 people were accessing emergency accommodation nationally.
Figures from the Department of Housing show 15,418 people were homeless across Ireland at the end of March, including over 4,600 children.
In Kerry 47 people were in emergency accommodation at the end of the first quarter of 2025.
This represents 0.44% of all homeless adults nationally.
In the South-West region, which covers Kerry and Cork, there were there were 98 families accessing emergency accommodation at the end of March.
The report shows that 204 children were homeless in the region.
668 adults were accessing emergency accommodation in Kerry and Cork, 64% (442) of which were male, and 36% (246) were female.
Meanwhile, over 75% of homeless adults in the region were either Irish, British or EU nationals, while 25% were non-Eu citizens.
