An 87-acre residential holding outside Listowel has been sold at auction for over €1.6 million.
The property, at Ballygrenane, just south of the town was previously owned by former director of Listowel Race Company, the late Eamonn Foran.
The site, divided by the main road, comprised of a dwelling and farmyard with traditional outbuildings.
There was also an enclosed round-roof arena and 800m of road frontage.
Tom Dillon of Listowel-based Dillon-Prendeville Auctioneers oversaw the auction at the Listowel Arms Hotel.
Five active bidders were in the room, with an opening bid of €1.1 million.
It was ultimately sold to a party represented by Margarita Purtill of Purtill Woulfe Murphy Solicitors for €1.66 million.
