Winter Olympics opening ceremony this evening
3 February 2026; The Team Ireland Allianz Flagbearers for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be Thomas Maloney Westgård and Anabelle Zurbay. The Opening Ceremony takes place on Friday 6 February, with athletes parading across the four Olympic clusters. Maloney Westgård carries the flag in Predazzo and Anabelle Zurbay carries the flag in Cortina. Both Cormac Comerford and Ben Lynch will be walking in the Livigno parade. The San Siro in Milan hosts the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics this evening.

Thomas Maloney-Westgard and Anabelle Zurbay are the flagbearers for the four-strong Ireland contingent at the Games.
