Wimbledon wildcard for Serena Williams

Serena Williams has been handed a wildcard for the main draw of the Women’s Singles at Wimbledon.

The 40-year old hasn’t played since retiring from her first round match with Aliaksandra Sasnovich at SW-19 last year.

Williams will warm up for Wimbledon by playing at the Eastbourne International next week, when she'll team up with Ons Jabeur in the doubles.
