Watford are off to a good start in their bid to bounce straight back to the Premier League.

In Rob Edwards' first Championship game in charge, they beat Sheffield United 1-nil at Vicarage Road.

Joao Pedro scored the only goal of the game in the second half.

Finn Harps are bottom of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division table this morning.

That's after Drogheda and UCD played out a 1-1 draw at Head in the Game Park last night.

The point saw the Students go 9th while Drogs remain 8th.

Rangers are in Champions League third round qualification action this evening.

They take on Union SG in Belgium in the first leg of their tie.

Kick-off is at 7:45.

John 'Yogi' Hughes - one of Celtic's Lisbon Lions - has died aged 79.

He spent 12 years at the club beween 1959 and 1971, making 416 appearances and scoring 189 goals.

Hughes did not play in the 1967 European Cup final, but featured in enough matches before it to win a medal.

He also won seven league titles, four Scottish Cups and five League Cups.
