A “back-court” rule is among the new potential rule changes being considered by the GAA’s Football Expert Advisory Group.
The proposal would make it illegal for attacking teams to move the ball back into their own half if they had already entered opposition territory.
Former Mayo manager Kevin McStay says the rule has proved popular when introduced in smaller jurisdictions.
