The opening quarter set the tone for the game with the Warriors launching an offensive blitz on the hosts board to build a 22-5 lead by quarter time. A hat trick of three pointers from Aisling Counihan, Priya O’Donovan and Mary Kate Smith saw the visitors build a 9-4 lead early with Jade Potts twice on the mark for St. Paul’s. The Warriors then added 13 unanswered points to spread the game with a score from Kelly Fitzgerald, Priya O’Donavan with 4 points and Louise Galvin with 7 combining effectively to see the Warriors lead 22-5 at quarter time.

A double from Emily Flynn early in the second was quickly added to by a score from either side of the arc from Priya O’Donovan to put the Tralee side 31-9 up. Jade Potts and Liadh Tobin cut the advantage back to 18 for Paul’s but Orla O’Mahony followed O’Donovan’s lead with a major and minor effort to see the Warriors lead 36-14 at half time.

Meábh Barry opened her account with a basket early in the third and by the time Orla O’Mahony had added a hat trick of scores the contest was effectively settled with the gap blown out to 31. Jade Potts again was the score getter for the Killarney side with a double and despite a score each from Ciara Moynihan and Ava Sheahan, St. Paul’s were still chasing a 47-22 deficit going into the final quarter.
