Wales considering name change

It's understood informal discussions have been held between the Football Association of Wales and UEFA over a potential name change.

The FAW is considering the idea of adopting the moniker "Cymru" - the Welsh name for Wales - on the international stage after this year's World Cup.

The change would end the country's status as being the last, alphabetically, of the 55 UEFA members
