United consolidate third place

Manchester United have consolidated third place in the Premier League with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa.

It means Michael Carrick has become the first United manager to win his first 6 top flight games at Old Trafford.

Liverpool - in fifth - were stunned by a last minute Tottenham goal at Anfield. It finished 1-1 after Richarlison's equaliser.

That result means Spurs are one point above the relegation places.

Nottingham Forest climbed out of the bottom three after a nil-nil draw with Fulham.

Leeds have 32 points after a nil-nil draw at Crystal Palace which saw them play the whole of the second half with 10 men.
