Tralee Parnells Hurling and Camogie Club weekly notes

Tralee Parnells U15 Féile Team
Thanks to everyone who attended our fundraising quiz night last Saturday in the Ballymac Bar. The quiz was a great success and tremendous fun, especially with our exciting tie-breaker. A very special thank you to Andrew Morrissey for doing an outstanding job as quiz master and helping to make the night an enjoyable one. A huge thank you also to Mary McElligott for all her hard work in preparing the quiz questions. Thanks also to all the Feile players who helped out on the night.

The boys will be setting off next Friday en route to New Ross in Wexford for the Regional Feile competition on Saturday 20th June. All the hard work and training is now done — we just need one final push from the community to help get them over the line. We wish the team and Management every success - no doubt they will represent the club and the county with pride.
Donations can still be made through the team's GoFundMe page - www.gofundme.com/f/parnells-u15-2026. Check out all our social media pages.
U14 Boys
Well done to our U14 hurlers who defeated Causeway in the Div 2 County League Semi-Final last Friday night in Caherslee. Abbeydorney await in the final which will be played after Feile.
U10 Boys
There was a fantastic performance from our U10 hurlers in Kilflynn last Wednesday evening. There was great skill and determination on display. Well done to all!
Poc Fada
Congratulations to Senior goalkeeper Diarmuid Quirke who was crowned 2026 Senior Mens Poc Fada Champion in the Galtee Mountains on Saturday. He will now go on to represent Kerry and Munster in the All-Ireland Poc Fada. Well done also to Sarah Chute who represented Kerry in the U16 category. Unfortunately, Anna Chute was unable to participate in the Senior category on the day. Fantastic day out was had by all. Thanks to Munster Camogie and Munster GAA for running such a spectacular event.

Senior Hurlers
The County Senior Hurling Championship throws in next Friday night, when our Senior play Abbeydorney in Austin Stacks Park in the 1st match of the competition. This is the 3rd year in a row we have been drawn against Abbeydorney, so let's hope we can come out with a win this time. Crotta O'Neills are also in our group and that game will be played on the weekend of 3/4/5 July. We are looking for a big crowd to come and support the lads next Friday night, so please come along - looking forward to seeing all our Academy players as well, who hopefully will make lots of noise.
Kerry U14 Camogie
Well done to our Tralee Parnells players, Caoimhe Field and Katyanna O'Connor, who represented Kerry U14s in Trim, Co. Meath last Sunday, playing Meath, Westmeath and Wicklow. The team qualified for the final where they were narrowly pipped by Wicklow. Well done to the team and Management.
