Team Ireland finish with 4 finals, ten semi finals and three national records

Team Ireland have finished their World Aquatic Championships campaign with 4 finals, ten semi finals and three national records.

The tournament came to a close in Singapore today after a successful week for the Irish.

Ellen Walshe was ninth and just outside the 400m Individual Medley Final on the last day of action.

The Templeogue woman was just 4 tenths of a second off booking her place in the decider.

Meanwhile the men's 4x100m Medley Relay team failed to emerge from their heats.

John Shortt, Eoin Corby, Jack Cassin and Evan Bailey swam together for the first time internationally and picked up a respectable 21st place finish.
