Oxford are also in trouble after losing by the same score to Derby - but West Brom boosted their survival hopes by winning 2-nil at Preston.

Elsewhere, Norwich won 4-2 away to Bristol City, Sheffield United got past Watford 2-nil and it finished 1-all between Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton.
