Newcastle manager Eddie Howe says they weren't clinical enough in last night's defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League.
The Magpies lost by two goals to one at St James' Park, where Marcus Rashford netted both goals for the winners.
Howe says they needed to put away their early chances.
It was a more straightforward night for Manchester City, who beat Napoli by two goals to nil.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Club Brugge, Sporting and Eintracht Frankfurt while Copenhagen and Leverkusen played out a 2-all draw.
