George King has been appointed captain of Ireland for the end-of-season rugby league World Cup.
The Hull KR prop forward has won 10 international caps and is approaching 200 professional games.
Ireland's first game of the tournament will be against Jamaica at Headingley in October, with New Zealand and Lebanon also in their group.
