An opening round of 67 means Rory McIlroy is a shot off the leader after the first round of the Players Championship.

On five-under-par, the Holywood native is a shot adrift of joint leaders Lucas Glover, JJ Spaun and Camilo Villegas.

Shane Lowry is level par, while Seamus Power is back on four-over.
