The first of two All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling semi-finals today has come to a close this afternoon.

Galway's Loughrea march on after beating Slaughtneil of Derry at Parnell Park.

A goal in either half helped the Tribesmen to a 2-22 to 15 point victory.

Waterford's Ballygunner are into a second All Ireland Senior Club Hurling final in five years.

They showed their experience in pulling away from St Martins of Wexford in the second half of their semi final

The Deise men coming out on top by 19 points to 10 in Thurles.

The final line-up for the Intermediate championship has been decided.

Tooreen of Mayo got the better of Tyrone's Eire Og Carrickmore by 1-28 to 1-17 to progress to the final.

They'll be joined by Tipperary's Upperchurch/Drombane after they beat Kilkenny side Danesfort by 1-13 to 14 points.
