Kerry 1-6 Tipperary 1-6
By Dan Kearney
It finished honours even in Austin Stack Park as Aishling Moloney inspired Tipperary to a share of the spoils in the TG4 Munster SFC.
Kerry played against a strong breeze in the opening half, but it was Tipperary who took more of their chances despite having less of the possession. After a cagey start to proceedings, Kerry struck first on six minutes when Niamh Carmody’s free found Siofra O’Shea, who under pressure laid off to Rachel Dwyer for the opening point.
Tipperary responded in the eighth as ] Moloney was fouled and converted the free. A goal chance for Kerry on ten minutes ended in a point after Julia Curtin’s effort was parried out for a 45. Tipp took the lead a minute later when Moloney finished low to the net past the onrushing Katie Hannan after a quick counter.
Leah Boyle narrowed the gap to two with a point on 13 minutes. Tipp however edged further ahead with scores from Moloney and Kennedy, but Kerry stayed in touch through two O’Shea frees in the final minutes of the half. At halftime, Tipperary led narrowly 1-3 to 0-4.
With the breeze to their backs Kerry had an ideal start to the second half. After yet another closely fought start, an audacious 40 yard attempt at a point from Niamh Carmody dropped into the back of the net past Lauren Fitzpatrick.
Moloney levelled the tie just six minutes later with a free, as Tipp started to get right back into the tie. Kerry almost waved their second green flag before the end of the third quarter. Carmody again involved and her goal-bound shot was denied by a superb block by Emma Cronin.
Rachel Dwyer restored Kerry’s lead soon after, but again it was the imperious Moloney that responded again, this time with a brilliant effort from a tight angle to make it 1-5 to 1-5 by quarters end.
In the 47th minute Tipp had another chance at goal, Moloney's long-range free dipped dangerously but was expertly tipped onto the crossbar by Kerry keeper Katie Hannan. Kerry pushed ahead once more when O’Shea pointed her first from play in the 49th minute, giving them a narrow 1-6 to 1-5 lead. But again Moloney had the answer, another free splitting the posts in the closing stages, as the sides played out a hard earned draw.

Waterford 3-12 Cork 1-9
By Anthony Newman

Waterford are through to the TG4 Munster Senior Football Championship final after an impressive win over Cork at Dungarvan GAA Club on Sunday.
Two goals in two minutes early in the second half were the key scores as the home side have reached the decider for the first time since 2019.
Lauran McGregor and Karen McGrath got the all-important green flags to seal the win for the home side, a victory they thoroughly deserved on the day.
They took the lead in the second minute when Aine O’Neill scored, with Chloe Fennell adding a second as the home side were dominating the early exchanges.
They thought they had a goal when Lauren McGregor scored but it was ruled out for overcarrying.
Katie Quirke got Cork’s first score, after 13 minutes, from a free, before Kellyann Hogan replied at the other end.
Two more from Quirke, both frees, saw the sides level after 20 minutes, a position Cork would have been happy with at that point.
Emma Murray put Waterford back on front, with another Quirke free levelling it again.
A point from Libby Coppinger put Cork in front for the first time, before Fennell’s second had them level again.
A great run from Aoife Healy put Cork back in front with three minutes to half time, but a late free from Hogan had the sides level at the break, 0-6 each.
Emma Murray put Waterford back in front, before Emma Cleary had the sides level again. It looked like the game was swinging in Cork’s favour when Quirke set up Healy for Cork’s goal, to make it 1-7 to 0-7.
But Waterford broke straight down the pitch with Lauren McGregor getting their first goal.
Two minutes later and they had their second, with McGregor setting up Karen McGrath to score. Hogan added a point, to make it 2-8 to 1-7 as Waterford had one foot in the final.
With 53 minutes gone Waterford got their third goal, with McGregor scoring again as they were now well in control.
Cleary pointed for Cork but late scores from O’Neill and Katie Murray secured the win for Waterford as they now face Kerry in the final on May 25 at Mallow.

Dublin won the Leinster Senior Ladies Football Championship final, 2-13 to 1-12 against Meath.
By Daire Walsh
Dublin produced a stirring final quarter display at Croke Park on Sunday afternoon to hold off a strong challenge from Meath and claim their 12th consecutive TG4 Leinster Senior Football Championship title.
Four points adrift in a game that took place as part of a double-header with the Leinster men’s decider featuring Meath and Louth in GAA HQ, Dublin registered an unanswered haul of 0-8 in the closing 15 minutes to keep a firm grip on the provincial prize.
Supplementing a brace of scores from Emma Duggan, Vikki Wall, Marion Farrelly and Ciara Smyth all found the target as Shane McCormack’s Meath pulled five points clear in a blistering start to the contest.
Yet Dublin finally got up and running through the reliable Hannah Tyrrell just shy of the first quarter mark and while Meath responded with a brace of successful Duggan frees, Tyrrell had Dublin back in contention when she rattled the net off her right foot on 21 minutes.
In fact, after a second goal from Eilish O’Dowd followed traded scores between Wall and Caoimhe O’Connor, raiding corner-back Niamh Donlon kicked an excellent 29th minute point to hand the Jackies a slender 2-3 to 0-8 interval cushion.
Dublin introduced Carla Rowe and Kate Sullivan on the resumption to join first half substitute Sinead Goldrick, but it was Meath who made the bright start to the second period as Niamh Gallogly smashed home a superb 32nd minute goal. Although Niamh Hetherton and Sullivan did find the range at the opposite end, a Duggan point from play in between these efforts ensured the Royals were in the ascendancy.
The dynamic Dunboyne duo of Duggan and Wall were dovetailing to excellent effect and they combined for three points to help the Royals establish a 1-12 to 2-5 buffer moving into the final-quarter.
However, Dublin were determined to hold onto their provincial crown and after Tyrrell kicked three points on the bounce, Rowe restored parity from a free on the stroke of 50 minutes.
The momentum was now suddenly with the Jackies once again and thanks to successive points from play by Hetherton, Goldrick, Rowe and Sullivan, they pushed on to retain their title.
Scorers – Dublin: H Tyrrell 1-4 (0-2f), E O’Dowd 1-0, N Hetherton, K Sullivan 0-2 each, C Rowe 0-2 (1f), N Donlon, C O’Connor, S Goldrick 0-1 each.
Meath: E Duggan 0-7 (5f), V Wall 0-3 (1f), N Gallogly 1-0, M Farrelly, C Smyth 0-1 each.
DUBLIN: A Shiels; J Tobin, L Caffrey, N Donlon; H McGinnis, M Byrne, L Magee; E O’Dowd, G Kos; C O’Connor, C Darby, S McIntyre; H Tyrrell, N Hetherton, A Timothy. Subs: S Goldrick for McGinnis (19), K Sullivan for Darby, C Rowe for Timothy (both h-t), N Crowley for Donlon (41), R McDonnell for McIntyre (60).
MEATH: R Murray; A Sheridan, MK Lynch, K Newe; A Cleary, S Wall, K Kealy; O Sheehy, M Farrelly; M Thynne, N Gallogly, C Smyth; E Duggan, V Wall, K Cole. Subs: K Bermingham for Farrelly (20), E Moyles for Smyth (45), M Collins for Cole (54).

Connacht Senior Ladies Football Championship

By Eanna O’Reilly
A powerful first half performance from Galway saw them put Mayo to the sword in the TG4 Connacht SFC at Tuam Stadium in a contest which was essentially decided by half-time.
This dead rubber Connacht championship game was largely one-sided, ahead of a meeting between the same two sides in the provincial final in two weeks.
Mayo fell 0-4 to 0-0 behind in the opening quarter, with Ailbhe Davoren, Kate Slevin (free), Shauna Hynes, and Eva Noone pointing for the Tribeswomen.
Slevin then capitalised on a loose Mayo kick out to score Galway’s opening goal. Mayo finally got off the mark when Sinéad Walsh pointed two in a row (one free), before Galway scored 1-4 without reply.
Hannah Noone, Davoren, Kate Thompson, and Slevin added Galway points, while Aisling Madden finished off a well worked move to fire to the net for their second goal.
Walsh (free) and Leanne Coen exchanged points at either end, before the visitors finished with the final two scores of the half, coming from Walsh (free) and Ava McDonnell.
Galway had a healthy 2-9 to 0-5 lead at the interval and traded 0-4 apiece with the visitors in the second half. Hynes, Siobhán Divilly, Madden, and Andrea Trill added to their tally, while Ciara Whyte and Walsh (three frees) kept the scoreboard ticking for Mayo, as the contest petered out.
