Meath and Galway clash in the Championship for the first time since 2011, with Shane Walsh named to start for Galway despite picking up a shoulder injury last weekend.

Mathew Costello is on the Meath bench after missing their win over Kerry with a hamstring issue.

Throw-in is at quarter-to-two.

Dessie Farrell has stepped down as Dublin football manager following their loss to Tyrone in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.

Tyrone finished strongly at Croke Park to win by 23-points to 16 to condemn Dublin to a last-eight exit for a second successive year.

Farrell led Dublin to Sam Maguire success in 2020 and 2023, as well as five Leinster titles.
