Ireland overcome 2 goal deficit to grab draw in qualifier

Adam Idah rescued a point as Ireland opened their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-2 draw with Hungary last night.

The Cork man came off the bench to equalise after the hosts had gone down 2-0 early on at the Aviva Stadium.

The visitors played the majority of the second half with ten men.

Elsewhere in the group, Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to help Portugal to a 5-0 win over Armenia.
