Kerry Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Cian Bargary, who signs for the Kingdom following successful spells with Cobh Ramblers and Cork City FC.

Bargary, who is 25, applies his trade on either the left or right wings and has 19 League of Ireland goals, 14 of them coming in the First Division. The Tipperary native and former St. Michael’s player signed for the Cork City FC Academy in 2017. He made the step up to senior level with Cork in 2019, scoring a goal in the Premier Division in his first year at the top level. During his time with Cork, he won the First Division in 2022, making 117 appearances before he made the switch to neighbours Cobh Ramblers at the start of last season. Bargary played 32 games for the Rams last season, scoring 5 times.

Speaking to kerryfc.com after his arrival in Mounthawk Park, Cian Bargary said, “I’m absolutely delighted to have signed for Kerry. It’s a great opportunity for me, and I can’t wait to get started. I’m still nursing a bit of an injury, but I’m working hard to get back as soon as I can.”

Also speaking to kerryfc.com after securing the signature, Manager Colin Healy said, “We are delighted to have Cian down here in the Kingdom, he is a player we’ve had our eyes on for a while. I obviously know him well from when we were together in Cork; he’s got a serious track record, and his CV is stacked with goals, assists and appearances up and down between the Premier and First Division. He’s won this league before, so he knows what it takes to be the best, and once he is fit and ready to take to the field again, I’ve no doubt he can produce the numbers we are used to seeing from him since he came into the League of Ireland pyramid.”

Also tonight in the First Division at 7.45:
Cork are away to Wexford, Finn Harps entertain UCD and it's Treaty against Bray.
