Government to rubber stamp Euros bid

The Irish Government will today rubber stamp the bid for the Republic of Ireland to co-host the European Championship in 2028 with England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The bid is expected to win backing from UEFA next year.

The Aviva Stadium and Croke Park could host up to seven games under the plan.
