Paul Geaney says he's hopeful he'll be fit for start for Dingle in Sunday week's All-Ireland Club Football final.

The Kerry forward scored eight-points after coming off the bench in last weekend's comeback win over Ballyboden St Enda's last weekend, as he continues to recover from a calf issue.

Geaney is 'confident' that an extra two weeks will help him to be able to play from the start in the decider against Roscommon's Saint Brigid's.

Ian Maguire has been appointed the new captain of the Cork senior footballers.

The Saint Finbarr's midfielder was previously skipper between 2018 and 2021.
