The FAI's Disciplinary Committee Unit has fined Drogheda United 15-thousand euro after flares were thrown onto the pitch at Oriel Park at last week's Louth derby against Dundalk.
Drogheda supporters will also be banned from attending the next four away league matches.
Sports Minister Patrick O'Donovan has commended the FAI and League of Ireland for 'acting swiftly and decisively'.

He also added that 'full, normal engagement' will now resume between the Department, the FAI and the league.
