FAI chief football officer Marc Canham has said the recent 'difficult' situation involving Colin Healy's contract is deeply regrettable.
At the time Healy strongly criticised the process in which he was removed from the women's assistant manager's role.
A number of other figures in Irish football also voiced their concerns and frustrations.
