Christian Eriksen is awake and stable in a Copenhagen hospital after collapsing on the pitch and requiring CPR while playing for Denmark at the European Championships.
Their game with Finland was suspended for around an hour and 45 minutes, before it resumed.
UEFA say the players made that decision after hearing the positive news about Eriksen's condition.
Finland won it 1-nil on their tournament debut.
Earlier, Wales earned a point in their opening game in Baku - after Kieffer Moore's header gave them a 1-all draw with Switzerland.
