Ruairi Murphy had the first 4 points for East Kerry, including a 2 pointer and they led 4 to 1 after 9 minutes. 2 David Clifford points helped them open up a 7 to 1 advantage by the 18th minute. 5 minutes later it was 11 to 2. Their lead at the break was 12 points to 4.

Goals from Paul O'Shea and Ruairi Murphy in the 36th and 37 minutes consolidated the East Kerry advantage. On the hooter East Kerry goaled again, through Paudie O'Leary. 2 minutes before that Sean Sheehan had netted for Templenoe.
