There had been fears the Louth club would miss out, but improvement works are now progressing at Oriel Park with a new playing surface being installed.
Drogheda United have confirmed that Mark Doyle is returning to the club on a two-year deal.
The forward scored 50 goals in 145 appearances for the Boynesiders between 2016 and 2021.
He spent the last two seasons in the US, and joins from USL League One outfit Knoxville.
