Defending Champions Pull Out Of Rugby League World Cup

This year's Rugby League World Cup in England is in danger of not going ahead with Australia and New Zealand confirming they'll not take part in the tournament.

The two nations have pulled out of the competition because of player welfare and safety concerns around travelling to the UK during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Organisers will hold an emergency board meeting later with the southern hemisphere teams asking for a postponement until 2022.
